Feisty as a flame, swift like a flicker of lightning, Tourmaline is always ready for anything! Most of the time, anyway. As the self-proclaimed 'fighter' of the ARTIFACT group, she tends to put the safety of not just Moonview City on her shoulders like the others do, she puts the safety of the whole of Fantasium there- and more! However, this doesn't render her afraid of failure- she storms into situations with daring, reckless energy, dragging along others who get caught up in her path.

Outside of missions, she never sits still, always waiting for something to crop up, always wanting something to do. This often leads her to get caught up in things that aren't missions- or may have been tangentially linked, but weren't a mission at first. Perhaps it's why she has so many aliases- Dakota, Static, ask about a partiular tiger anywhere and the name will never stay the same. However, her excursions lead to her making many more friends than if she didn't pursue those options- and some notable enemies...

Tourmaline enjoys thrill, to the point where she will often imagine herself performing stunts she probably would not be able to do, and has once tried to drive without a license through the streets of Moonview City. That part didn't end well for her, though she got out unscathed and ready for another round. Despite her thrill-seeker nature, she often avoids the Darkshine Carnival- not because of its head, Scribe, but because in some paradoxical way, she's afraid of rollercoasters.

Fun facts!

- Tourmaline is based on the character Claudia Donovan, from the TV show Warehouse 13.
- Tourmaline's name comes from the Tourmaline gemstone, which can come in a variety of colours. Though any gemstone can do that.
-Despite it not being a major colour on her, Tourmaline's associated colour is blue!
